Let's Start a RiotWithin the past two years, Mike Hardy has encountered many bruises and bumps inside as well as outside the wrestling world. In 2008, Mike Hardy had planned on joining the wrestling group Higher Society under a newly developed persona, Julius Habanero. However, it was evident that Mike Hardy's place wasn't with the boos of Impact and Danny Draiman but rather lavishly indulging himself in the cheers of the fans. After betraying Enforcer and taking the world title, Mike Hardy began a personal downward spiral that eventually led to his absence for the rest of the '08 season. Mike had found himself in a tough position that wasn't easy to come out of. Some claimed he dropped the ball while others said that he simply was not having the best of luck. Whatever your opinion may be, Mike knew that this wasn't going to be his season to shine. In 2003, Mike Hardy began his career in a much smaller backyard wrestling federation called the EWF. Starting with people like Renegade and Sinister, Mike Hardy began to develop his character and persona in the ring. Basing his name on the Hardy Boyz, Mike wrestled with a similar style and attitude. In 2006, Mike Hardy made his return to wrestling in WFA. Bring back his old fire, he was able to captivate the crowd and become one of the most popular wrestlers of the season. Battling against superstars now such as Impact, Mike was able to solidify his position and prove to the world that the party had just begun. At Wrestlefest IV, Mike Hardy participated in the first ever Money In The Bank Ladder match and came out on top. Winning the chance to fight for the Heavyweight Title could only be surpased by winning the title itself. Mike Hardy began to develop his respect for Enforcer and although both of them were competitors, they understood the value of friends in wrestling over enemies. No one expected Mike to turn a new leaf though, no one expected him to turn on Enforcer. After wrestling Eric Rave, Mike was barely able to finish the match due to an elbow injury on a suplex. However, Mike shocked the world by breaking out of his "injury" to interfere in Enforcer's match to win the Heavyweight Title. Although this accomplishment may have been nothing more than a cheap win, Mike was indeed the WFA Heavyweight Champion. As we move into the 2009 season, we can see that Mike is once again rebuilding that legacy. Coming off of a big win over Quarterz, only time will tell if Mike is here to party hard or call it a night. Lets see if he'll start a riot.
